The Role

Overview

Manage commercial aspects of M5 J10 highways scheme, handling contracts, reporting, and stakeholder relations.

Tasks

-Collaborate with operational and engineering teams to maintain accurate site records. -Ensure a safe working environment. -Act as Project Commercial Lead for contract administration. -Submit monthly applications to the client as per contract requirements. -Produce and negotiate Subcontract documentation, including terms, prices, and schedules. -Manage subcontract works, including interim assessments and change management. -Issue commercial notices to both the client and subcontractors as required. -Manage contract changes, including submitting Compensation Event Quotations. -Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. -Develop detailed reports, forecasts, and cost plans, and support project risk management.

What You Bring

-Proven leadership and management expertise, with a track record of developing individuals. -First-class time and outcome management skills. -Solid knowledge of construction processes and project management. -Advanced IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle). -Experience in negotiation, final account settlement, and working towards professional qualifications (MCIOB, MRICS). -Strong understanding of standard forms of contract. -Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
