-From road tunnels like NorthConnex and WestConnex to rail links and metro lines, its projects reshape connectivity. -It integrates services across roads, rail, buses, ferries and light rail, including ticketing like the Opal system. -After absorbing RMS in 2019, it took on vehicle registration, road safety and maritime responsibilities. -Its portfolio ranges from major civil works and urban transit to ferry services and airport connectivity. -Standout projects span freeway upgrades, metro expansions, ferry operations and smart network planning. -Though government-run, it contracts service delivery but retains strategy, planning and infrastructure control. -Its history embodies NSW’s shift to a centralized, integrated transport authority driving multimodal innovation.
