The Role

Tasks

-Developing contracts and technical schedules (including specifications) for the procurement of renewable generation technologies (wind, solar, BESS) and assisting in negotiations with key suppliers and contractors; -Providing contract engineering and administration support to site teams during the construction phase of the projects. -Providing technical advice and input into the key interfaces between workstreams and contracts to ensure that design integration, risk and programme are well understood and managed for the projects; -Building and maintaining relationships with international suppliers of renewable generation technology; -Providing engineering procurement and contracting support for major renewable energy construction projects;

What You Bring

-A mechanical engineering degree or similar qualification. -A self-directed, collaborative approach, and strong connections in the engineering construction and consultancy markets in New Zealand and overseas. -Strong contract/commercial experience, ideally within the renewable energy construction sector is preferred. -Familiarity with renewable generation equipment and understanding of the complexity of the supply contracts. -Ability to speak up when something isn’t right or doesn’t seem right, to capture and resolve issues prior to crystalising a cost, time delay or reputational issue. -Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively with suppliers and contractors.
