Tasks

-Ensure that the final map of plat represents a comprehensive and accurate description of the field survey -Maintain a highly organized work area and manage multiple projects simultaneously -Record and illustrate, in note form, a neat and legible reproduction of work performed -Supervise survey work, evaluate priorities, and coordinate work efforts -Operations include identifying landmarks, physical objects, and significant land changes that would affect the required survey -Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the organization -Utilize survey equipment and manage others to locate, review, and research job locations. -Ensures that angles, distance, and information are accurate and conform to regulations and standards -Consult with computer operators and provide knowledge during the final computations. -Perform administrative functions such as completing time sheets, creating vehicle mileage reports, maintaining expense accounts, and documenting subsequent expenditures -Review the standard of work being performed and derive necessary field calculations from work completed -Utilize and provide training for survey instruments and equipment -Write reports, business correspondence, and project documents -Productivity tools: Utilize cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Copilot to enhance your productivity and efficiency. -Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

What You Bring

-Two (2) or more years or experience as a Party Chief in heavy highway and bridge projects -Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers -Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. -Valid driver license for occasional, required travel -Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications -Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects -Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and utilize Construction Math concepts including calculating rate, ratio, and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs -Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions -Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables -Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
