Director of Electrical Engineering

Lead electrical team to design building systems, oversee QA/QC, and manage client relations.

Tasks

-Lead, supervise, provide guidance and training to a team of engineers -Perform code compliance research -Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing electrical systems -Coordinate work with other disciplines -Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings -Provide construction administration services -Serve as the primary contact for clients -Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies -Write and edit project specifications -Develop electrical system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs -Perform QA/QC of design work -Assist in the procurement of new work including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews -Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of electrical systems for a variety of market types

What You Bring

-Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines -Hands-on experience with the latest versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software -10+ years of experience in electrical design -Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines -Team management experience (preferred) -Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field -Excellent oral and written communication skills -PE License (preferred) -Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment
