You'll join an innovative team, who support strategic initiatives, enhance network reliability, and drive innovation in network architecture.

We're seeking a Network Security Design Engineer to design and implement network security solutions and ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our roadside networks.

  • Provide ongoing support for network operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
  • Manage and configure firewalls, including developing and implementing security policies to safeguard network infrastructure and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
  • Implement network security solutions based on approved designs, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services and optimal performance.
  • Ensure all network activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices, including adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) policies for incident, request, and change management.
  • Develop and design network security solutions to address a wide range of technical challenges, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure network architecture.

This position requires being onsite at our Alexandria office 3 days a week.

  • Experience with Cisco Networking platforms to include ACI, NX-OS, IOS-XE systems.
  • Demonstrated experience defining processes and documenting procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team of infrastructure, network and security professionals.
  • Proficiency in identifying tasks and activities required to meet customer needs. requirements and setting goals and priorities in line with business objectives.
  • 5 or more years' experience creating policy, evaluating and monitoring on NGFW platforms (Palo Alto and Panorama preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conceptualize complex computer networks.
  • Familiarity with security container networking environments (such as Kubernetes) and relevant security controls.
  • Experience with task automation, including discovering automation use cases and developing solutions.
  • Knowledge of network fabrics security segmentation (Cisco ACI desirable).
  • Experience with industrial control systems or intelligent transportation systems (preferred).
