Tasks

-Lead the commercial management and contract administration of large-scale transport and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. -Lead claims management, dispute resolution, and contract close-out processes in coordination with legal and project leadership teams. -Monitor project financial performance, cost forecasting, and cash flow to ensure alignment with project and business objectives. -Provide strategic commercial leadership and support to project directors, project managers, and technical teams. -Manage and oversee pre- and post-contract commercial activities, including cost planning, tendering, procurement, contract negotiation, and change management. -Support business development and bid teams in the preparation of proposals, commercial inputs, and risk assessments for new opportunities. -Mentor and develop junior commercial staff, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. -Develop and implement commercial strategies and controls to ensure consistent and efficient delivery across the business. -Ensure compliance with WSP’s governance framework, client requirements, and relevant commercial standards.

What You Bring

-Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. -Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline; professional membership (MRICS, MCInstCES, etc.) preferred. -Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. -Proven track record managing the commercial aspects of major transport and infrastructure projects (roads, highways, bridges, rail, or utilities). -Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (FIDIC and bespoke), procurement routes, and cost management principles. -Strong business acumen with experience supporting project directors and contributing to strategic decision-making. -Minimum 15 years’ experience in commercial management, with at least 5 years in the UAE or GCC region.
