The Role

Operate lull/forklift to transport materials in manufacturing shop

Tasks

-Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidents. -Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the lull/forklift. -Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to lull/forklift operation, safety procedures, and company policies. -Operate a lull and forklift to safely and efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. -Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areas. -Inspect lull/forklift and related equipment for any defects or malfunctions before each use and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.

What You Bring

-Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or construction environment. -Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs -Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel products. -Valid forklift operator certification or license. -Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety procedures. -Strong verbal communication skills -Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels -Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time -Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required -Minimum of a high school education or equivalent. -Ability to work independently and on a team -Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. -Attention to detail and accuracy in load handling and placement. -Ability to operate a lull/forklift safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
