Overview

Tasks

-Oversee and evaluate all commercial aspects of the project to ensure accurate and transparent reporting. -Manage all subcontractor accounts, from award through interim valuations and final accounts. -Forecast and monitor cash flow and turnover specific to the project. -Identify potential commercial risks early and report promptly to management. -Ensure all contractual obligations are met, providing guidance and oversight to the site and construction teams. -Stay informed on industry developments, particularly within Mechanical and HVAC systems. -Prepare and review monthly progress and cost reports, including remeasurements, site variations, and claims. -Take full responsibility for the commercial management, pricing, and budget control of a major mechanical project.

What You Bring

-Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to professional development. -A relevant 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying, or a QS with mechanical engineering qualifications/experience. -Previous experience working with a Mechanical Contractor is highly desirable. -Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience within the construction sector, with a strong focus on mechanical services. -Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), with the ability to produce detailed cost reports and financial projections. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic project environment. -Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with a results-driven approach.
