Tasks

-Project Management: Direct complex municipal and civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include proposal development, scope definition, cost estimation, and ensuring high-quality deliverables within budget and timeline constraints. -Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions. Actively pursue client development opportunities and represent the firm in industry events and competitor interactions. -Team Supervision: Mentor and manage a diverse team of staff engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative environment. Oversee both project execution and administrative functions to ensure operational excellence. -Leadership & Strategy: Oversee the Fort Worth office’s operations, ensuring alignment with firm-wide goals. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance the office’s growth, profitability, and reputation as a trusted partner in municipal, water / wastewater and civil engineering. -Business Development: Drive the financial success of the Fort Worth office by identifying new opportunities, managing budgets, and ensuring the profit center’s performance meets or exceeds expectations.

What You Bring

Experience: Municipal, water/wastewater and/or civil engineering in the North Texas market, including significant experience in a leadership or management role. Proven track record in client-facing roles and managing profitable projects. Location: Based in Fort Worth, TX, with occasional travel for client meetings, industry events, Neel-Schaffer North Texas office locations, and other regional offices. -Experience in business development and client management. -Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively. -Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. -Valid driver’s license. -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited school. -PMP Preferred but not required. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and spreadsheets. -Experience in civil engineering or deep knowledge of the municipal or water / wastewater engineering industry. -Experience in budget management and preparation of proposals. -Strong business acumen with experience in proposal writing, cost estimation, and scope development. -Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. -Experience leading and managing staff preferred. -Travel is required. -Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
