Tasks

-Produce drawings and detail packages for both Building Science and Structural Restoration projects -Work as part of a team, to produce drawings on a variety of projects -Leadership and managing a team -Develop drawings of existing or new buildings from general conceptual information and design notes -Provide project drafting and be accountable for schedule and efficiency -Be accountable to Engineers and Technologists for drawing production and quality -Manage and provide leadership to technologist team in Building Science and Restoration -Lead With Purpose - empower, develop and support others to reach their full potential -Help the design be more easily communicated through your drawings -Co-ordinate RJC’s drawings with those of other disciplines on projects -Leadership to provide coaching and mentorship -Supportive Teamwork - promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and culture

-Creative Mindset - provide new and diverse ideas -Diploma in Civil/Structural drafting or technology from accredited University or technical college -Attentive to detail and have a desire to grow professionally and personally -Courses in structural design, concrete, and steel considered an asset -5+ years of related experience -Must have taken courses that focus on Revit software or related programs -Working experience or education background with AutoCAD and REVIT -Experience in construction and/or consulting services considered as a significant asset -Able to conceptualize structural and architectural details in three dimensions -Dependable and willing to work extra hours when required -Fast learner who can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing -Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what work is required and who can draw rational conclusions from information available -Team player who is able to work with minimal direction
