Tasks
The main function of a QA Test Analyst is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution. -Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures -Prepare test report, provide initial issue analysis, and contribute to defect prevention -Design detailed test cases based on requirements and test plan -Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates -Setup and configure necessary test equipment and environments for test execution and automation -Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies -Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers -Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability -Define test strategy and test plan based on software development plan -Create or maintain databases of known test defects -Develop test tools and test scripts to automate the testing -Test system modifications to prepare for implementation -Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content -Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes

Top 3 Skill Sets this candidate must have -Strong communicators -Driving Requirement: Yes - Candidates must be 21 years of age or older License level – G -Strong problem-solvers -Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports -Android experience -Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required -Committed to SW test (not just waiting until a Dev job opens up) -5-7 years experience required -Open to both manual and automated testing (don’t see manual testing as “beneath” them) -Automotive background is nice-to-have -Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing -Python or Object-oriented programming experience -Able to work independently, but willing to speak up when uncertain about task -Advanced degrees not necessary, knowledge of Git/Jenkins preferred, Appium/RobotFramework experience is nice-to-have -2+ years of SW Test experience (embedded SW strongly preferred), both manual and automated -Experience testing software
