Overview

Create and modify BIM/CAD electrical drawings and models for construction projects.

Tasks

-Check own work for accuracy before passing on to others -Setup of Revit views and sheets in preparation for shop drawings -Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and/or verbal direction provided by electrical detailers -Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for transmittal to other parties -Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or project websites (FTP, BIM360, etc.) -Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation -Utilize Bluebeam Revu software to markup PDF drawings and communicate with team members

What You Bring

-Ability to manipulate Revit families, views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and similar Revit functions -Required to maintain a valid driver's license -Fluency with all plotters, printers and reproduction systems used in house or on the job site -Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player -Ability to receive and transmit documents on behalf of the design team -A working knowledge of computer aided drafting and software applications at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in computer aided design and drafting or related field or equivalent experience; and -Experience in the construction industry preferred -Fluency for importing documents, such as spread sheets, photos, images, and word processing files into Revit projects -Requires travel: Minimal (up to 10%) -Understanding of 3D coordination with other trades -Fluency in the 2D and 3D space -Ability to take verbal and general written direction well and turn that direction into appropriate, working shop drawings -Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality -Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position) -Experience in creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry -2 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry, with knowledge of electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards -Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Experience in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Trimble, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) -PTO accrual of up to 120 hours in a full year (subject to plan terms thereafter)
