Overview

Plan, design, and oversee traffic engineering projects using CAD software.

Tasks

-Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. -Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed. -Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff. -Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific area. -Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work. -Assist with proposal development for professional services. -Prepare complete project documents. -Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments. -Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy. -Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria. -Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments. -Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems. -Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.

What You Bring

-Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing, and proofreading skills. -Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and other related software packages. -Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required. -PE license in AZ, or through reciprocity, is also required. -4+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience required. -Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.
