The Role

Overview

Implement damage prevention program, inspect, locate, and protect pipelines and facilities.

Tasks

-Perform pipeline patrols, population density surveys, leak detection surveys and inspection per Company procedures. -Operate, maintain, adjust, and make minor repairs on equipment such as industrial wheeled tractors, water pumps, air compressors, expanders, coolers, test equipment, vehicles, etc. -Coordinate local Damage Prevention and Public Awareness liaison activities and complete appropriate documentation as outlined in Company Public Awareness Plan. -Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping; perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory and Company tariff requirements. -Achieve and maintain all qualifications and progression requirements applicable to the job classification. -Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns. -Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, and pipeline appurtenances. -May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties. -Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. -Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during excavations. -Perform mapping, recordkeeping, and data entry duties per Company policies and Procedures. -Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives and contribute to Site Specific Procedures and work plans. -Perform governmental compliance activities (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA, USFS, etc.). and complete the necessary documentation per Company Policies and Procedures. -Train and oversee company and third-party personnel as required by Company Policies and Procedures (e.g., personnel and progression, contractors, visitors . . .). -Represent the Company during contact with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One-Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.) -Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with Company procedures for excavation activities near pipeline facilities. -Actively participate in safety programs/initiatives, assist in the development of O&M procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans. -Must respond to, and address, callouts, and emergencies after regular business hours. -Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a co -Conduct right-of-way inspections to identify and address Geotechnical concerns with the potential of adversely impacting Company assets. -General upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment (pipeline right-of-way, gathering/storage areas, excavate/repair/coat/backfill pipelines, building construction, concrete work, paint, weed control, etc.)

What You Bring

-Capable of lifting and carrying materials such as boxes of flags (22 pounds) and augers (32 pounds) using proper manual handling techniques. -Ability to lift up to 42 pounds from waist to waist and carry objects weighing up to 42 pounds for distances of 20 feet. -Good verbal and written communication skills. -Knowledge of Company policies, procedures and practices, regulatory and tariff requirements. -Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. -Familiar with CGA Best Practices and their usefulness -Ability to organize and prioritize daily work. -Have a valid certificate as a Competent person in Trenching and Shoring. -Good record of safe work practices. -Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high- and low-pressure systems. -Ability to climb ladders and stairs safely, including extension ladders and standard stairs or steps. -Experience reading and interpreting Project plans, drawings, diagrams, etc. -Previous Line Locating experience a plus. -Manual dexterity needed for grasping, pinching, fine motor movements, and operating hand-held tools and equipment. -Must be able to push and pull equipment weighing up to approximately 42 pounds, including post hole diggers and other tools. -Experience in the excavation of underground utilities utilizing traditional and trenchless techniques -Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job. -Required to perform manual tasks involving bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling as part of inspection and construction activities. -Ability to perform whole body motions such as reaching at overhead, shoulder, waist, and knee levels, including reaching with extension and circumduction. -Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel). -Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals). -Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. -The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug s reen, fit for duty examination and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed -Will be required to carry a personal cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours. -Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully. -Knowledge in utilizing GIS mapping systems. -Ability to walk a minimum of 1/4 mile (0.25 miles) and up to 2 miles on a daily basis over rough, uneven, or challenging terrain. -High School diploma or equivalent -Capable of performing physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing in various environmental conditions, including exposure to wet, cold, hot, and vibrating environments. -Knowledge of Wyoming One-Call Law. -Previous experience in public speaking. -Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
