The Role

Tasks

-Act as the voice of the customer and business stakeholders within the agile development team, ensuring delivered features meet user needs and strategic objectives. -Participate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and guide the team towards successful sprint execution and product increments. -Collaborate closely with transmission engineering and energy market SMEs to gather, refine, and document complex technical requirements related to grid data, modeling, and analysis. -Support product quality by defining acceptance criteria, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), and validating the accuracy of technical data and calculations within the platform. -Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical knowledge about the incoming client work during the pre-sales process. -Own and prioritize the automation team backlog, translating the product roadmap into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team. -Work with industry leaders -Assist in or conduct tailored product demonstrations for prospective clients, focusing on features relevant to their business needs and addressing technical questions. -Assist in creating product documentation, training materials, and conducting technical demonstrations for internal teams and external customers.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of electric power systems, particularly transmission networks, generation interconnection, grid capacity, curtailment, and LMPs/energy markets. -Familiarity with automation concepts and data management is a plus. -Experience with agile management tools (e.g., Jira). -Experience participating in sales enablement activities or delivering software demonstrations is a plus. -Excellent ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements for development teams. -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or a closely related technical field. -5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in a software development environment, preferably SaaS. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. -Proven experience working within an Agile/Scrum development framework, managing backlogs, and writing user stories. -Ability to clearly articulate technical product value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
