Lead and manage transportation design teams, oversee projects, and drive business development.

Tasks

-Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. -Serve as a technical resource for multidisciplinary teams. -Leadership and responsibility of project and transportation pursuits. Prepare, coordinate and review transportation proposals, including fee establishment, contract negotiation, billing, and collections. -Lead and mentor the Transportation Design teams, including Roadways, Bridges, and Traffic disciplines. -Represent GRAEF at professional conferences and promote the firm within the transportation industry (ITE, ASCE, ACEC, WTS etc.). -Establish business development and revenue targets, set priorities, and oversee staffing. Coordinate work-sharing among offices with the Director of Transportation. -Project and client management, making presentations and conducting client development activities. -Lead business development by identifying, developing, and managing client relationships. -Advise and develop project managers, fostering independence and leadership.

What You Bring

-In-depth knowledge of WisDOT design standards and project management processes. -Proven experience in business development, client management, and proposal development. -Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring staff for career development. -Excellent communication skills and a track record of effective collaboration with clients and internal teams. -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin is required. Minimum of 8 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
