Tasks
-Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of maintenance tasks as needed -Two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists -Work with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule -Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation -Perform general maintenance on machines, conveyors and structural material; including welding using arc, gas or automatic welding equipment -Troubleshoot, repair and installation of a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical equipment, including manual and automatic machines -Work on process controls and/or electronic controls -Communicate status of repairs and/or expected down times to Maintenance Manager and Production Managers and Supervisors as needed -Work independently on secondary distribution systems, house wiring and three phase industrial power -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Document actions by completing production and quality forms -Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance -Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results

What You Bring
-Is capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of manual and automated machinery independently -Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. -5 or more years’ experience installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of manual and automated machinery desirable -Is able to read and work from construction, mechanical and electrical drawings -Bending/stooping – frequent -Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles -Perform general layout and construction activities requiring advanced metal fabrication, carpentry and plumbing skills -Walking – continuous -Squatting/kneeling – frequent -Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuous -Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet -Has basic construction skills in light metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing and electrical -Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist -Has experience using small hand and power tools -Possesses basic computer skills -Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis -Has the ability to read and follow complex equipment operating instructions. -Variable hand/power tool use – frequent -Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance -Standing – continuous -5 or more years performing building maintenance work -Communicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization. -2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment -Lifting – frequent -Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) -Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
