Tasks

-Interface in professional manner with client representatives and subcontractors. -Implement the requirements of approved QC Plan, assuring all required records are generated and managed. -Manage in-depth technical reviews of submittals against design documents and manage submittal review and approval status through use of submittal register. -Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks. -Manage a timely project closeout to include compilation and turnover of all required documents. -Review designs and provide feedback to designers. -Coordinate and document commissioning and formal completion inspections. -Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards. -Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Actively participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the “Builder of Choice”. -Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members. -Identify deficiencies and non-conformances, prepare documentation, and monitor and verify corrective actions. -Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports. -Stop work if necessary to resolve non-compliant work or matters that negatively affect safety.

You deploy a strategic mindset when considering solutions to long-term opportunities and risks that may develop in the future. -BS degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management or CMAA Certification -Or equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to work in a team environment -USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors training certification preferred. -Strong leadership and communication skills. -Skilled using Microsoft Word and Excel; USACE QCS a plus -Minimum 15 years construction quality control experience -Proactive management approach.
