Tasks

-Review factual design reports, borehole logs and laboratory testing -Developing engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions -Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities. -Preparation of geotechnical field investigation specifications and geotechnical interpretive reports -Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and -Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations -Geotechnical and site characterization; -Coordination and support with marine and structural team on projects -Design and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management. -Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects -Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;

What You Bring

-Professional engineer licensure (preferred) -At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) -Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required) -Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seismic; -Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred) -Familiarity with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (preferred) -Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects. (preferred) -Experience with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, SAP2000, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred) -Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
