The Role
Overview
Set up/take down lane closures, operate traffic control equipment, ensure safety.

Tasks
-Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports. -Collect and load traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts. -Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures. -Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) vehicle to and from projects and on work sites. -Monitor the work zone throughout the shift to ensure items remain in their proper locations. -Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment. -Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites. -Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones. -Perform shop work, including general maintenance and repair of equipment. -Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas. -Place temporary construction signs in work areas. -Wear proper safety equipment (work boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest).

What You Bring
-Must be able to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained. -Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays, and ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects. -Must successfully complete the ATSSA TCT intermediate training course. -Valid Driver’s License. -Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds. -Basic reading and writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork, and knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations. -Mechanical background/experience (preferred). -Must be available for a rotating on-call schedule. -Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas. -1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in field hours in traffic control. -Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements. -Must be able to pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check. -Good knowledge of state and local roadways and experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes.
