Organize and manage workload to meet budget and schedule deadlines.
Provide construction phase services including shop drawing review, responding to contractor questions (RFIs), and construction inspection.
Prepare construction specifications for airport development projects per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10 and State requirements.
Design to FAA, DOT, or military standards
Assist Project Managers in preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, project schedules, and client presentations.
Complete designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings for preparation of construction plans related to airport development and rehabilitation projects.
Mentor junior engineers and review design work for accuracy and quality control.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D (and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads) to prepare high-quality design deliverables
Development of grading, earthwork, profiles, and sections on projects
Provide civil engineering design for airfield/site layout, grading, profiles, earthwork analyses and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design, pavement design and maintenance, construction safety and phasing, aircraft layouts and modeling, storm water management design, erosion and sediment control design, utility coordination and design, environmental permitting, and preparation of construction plans, specifications, schedules, design reports, and cost estimates.

Minimum of 4 years of design experience in Engineering and Construction projects, with at least 3 years of direct design experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or Revit software in design.
Prior aviation or transportation infrastructure design experience.
Master of Science (MS) Degree in Civil Engineering
EIT certification and the ability to pass the PE exam within one year.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited Program
Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars, state DOT standards, and municipal permitting processes.
