Tasks

-Lead multidisciplinary team meetings with engineers, technicians, and specialists to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance -Work in various environmental conditions including outdoor weather exposure and industrial settings -Manage emergency response situations and system outages requiring immediate technical decision-making and stakeholder communication -Conduct facility tours and inspections to assess critical system performance across terminal, utility, and passenger operation -Maintain 24/7 emergency response availability with irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as critical operations demand -Coordinate with airlines, TSA, customs, and regulatory agencies on system maintenance, compliance requirements, and operational impacts -Review maintenance reports, analyze system data for predictive maintenance opportunities, and oversee asset lifecycle planning -Lead strategic planning sessions with executive leadership on infrastructure development and capital project priorities

What You Bring

-Proven track record managing capital projects with budgets of $50M-$200M+ -Experience with regulatory compliance (FAA, TSA, EPA requirements) -5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large technical teams -Experience with airport master planning and development projects -Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) -Aviation-specific certifications or training programs -Background in sustainability and energy efficiency program implementation -Familiarity with union environments and collective bargaining processes -Professional Engineering (PE) license -Ability to conduct facility tours and inspections across large airport complexes -10+ years in aviation industry or similar 24/7 operations environment -Ability to work in secure airport environments requiring security clearance and badging -Airport security clearance eligibility and ability to obtain required badging -Previous experience with Part 139 Airport Operating Certificate compliance -10+ years of progressive experience in critical infrastructure management -Capability to respond to emergency situations requiring immediate on-site presence -Extended periods of standing and walking during facility inspections and emergency response
