The Role

Overview

Diagnose, service, and repair electronic systems on commercial vehicles/equipment per specs.

Tasks

Identifies additional work and non-conformances. Rapidly communicates them to the Workshop Supervisor and writes them down on the Job Card. Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line manager. By receiving the job card, performs each requirement and ticks and signed the checklist upon completion of work. Searches for information in the available documentation (technical manuals, repair booklets). Applies the manufacturer's directives and safety rules. Maintains the stock of tools and keeps them in proper condition. Carries out diagnosis on faults, checks the parameters, and analyses the defect. Tidies up and cleans the work area, and all the tools used (individual or collective). Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities. Rectifies the defect and fixes in the time allowed. In the event of complications, refers the matter to the workshop supervisor. If any parts are required, informs the Workshop Supervisor Ensure the presentation of the equipment viz. resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness. Perform quality servicing and repairs, on all electronics systems and devices so as to return them to manufacturer's specifications.

What You Bring

A minimum of 3years of experience in a similar profile within commercial vehicle and heavy equipment. Understand the uses of modern diagnostic equipment. High-school degree / ITI certification. Working knowledge of English.
