Tasks

-Mentor and support the development of Graduate Structural Engineers. -Manage all phases of project development, from feasibility and conceptual design to detailed engineering, planning support, construction, and commissioning -Lead structural engineering analysis, design, and verification of reinforced concrete and structural steelwork using industry-standard design and analysis software. -Prepare detailed specifications and minimum functional requirements for the civil/structural engineering aspects of nuclear projects in English. -Conduct site visits and attend client offices as required to support project needs. -Manage internal project elements, including budgeting, planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. -Support business development in the defence sector, including preparing bids and identifying new opportunitiesAssist in negotiating and applying consultancy contracts, including defining terms, conditions, and scope of services. -Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating with internal Mott MacDonald engineers and external clients/stakeholders to develop cost-effective infrastructure solutions.

What You Bring

-Proven experience leading Structural Engineers within a multi-disciplinary team. -Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional institution. -Experience in regulated industries (e.g., defence, nuclear) is advantageous but not essential. -Broad experience in structural engineering, covering all design stages through to construction. -Proficiency in structural design software such as Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, and TEDDS. -Strong sense of ownership and accountability for your work. -High-level technical expertise in structural engineering. -Strong collaboration and communication skills
