The Role

Overview

Assist with geotechnical investigations, field work, analysis, and report preparation.

Tasks

-Perform field tasks including drilling oversight and construction observations, with most work focused in the NY/NJ area. -Assist in preparation of geotechnical reports, calculation packages, drawings and specifications -Assist in performing geotechnical calculations and analysis for small and largescale projects -Assist in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments -Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and be willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed

What You Bring

-Occasional travel outside NY/NJ may be expected to help assist project demands in other areas -EIT certification, or current registration for FE exam. Candidates hired without their EIT will be title "Geotechnical Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. -Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Familiarity with GeoStudio, ESoft APILE, LPILE, GROUP, and Settle3 preferred. -3 years of work experience. -Willingness and ability to go to the field as needed; and -Local candidates preferred -Have some familiarly with geotechnical software including LPILE, ALPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, GeoStudio, Settle3, and DeepEx -Bachelor's degree in civil or Geotechnical Engineering; master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
