Lead OHL project delivery from design to handover, ensuring safety, cost and quality.

Tasks
-Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriate action on findings -Analyse, appraise and implement CEs -Setting people to work -Maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.) -Conduct and support Accident/Incident Investigations -incorporate and balance both operational and commercial constraints into decision making -Helps to ensure reports provide relevant information to enable informed, cost- effective decisions in line with overall strategy -Work alongside Project Management and deputise where required -Communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders -Ensure full alignment with project and customer requirements, maintaining control over time, cost, quality, and safety objectives. -Helps to ensure scope and package assignment supports the team in coordinated working -Proactively develop others around you including junior members of the team -Responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chain -Manage and support site teams, promoting a safe, compliant, and high-performing work culture. -Understand, control and issue safety documentation -Lead and attend project reviews / project meetings -Lead project activities across planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and close-out phases. -Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders -Assist the Project Manager to lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changes -Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority -Ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce -Motivate and empower the team using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management. Produce plans for the team to achieve goals/aspirations -Completion of audits -Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety initiatives -Identifying, raising and reporting risks and hazards -Monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement solutions -Write and review RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS -Manage commercial change -Follow targets/KPI’s in line with project objectives and monitor performance -Develop and formalise the engineered delivery solution, briefing it clearly to the working party. -Requestion of plant and materials -Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control -Specify, understand, develop and implement technical information and drawings into delivery -Identify and drive personal development -Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislation

What You Bring
-Experience in implementing safe systems of work -An organised, innovative and creative Project Engineer with knowledge and -Holds or desire to work towards either the APM PFQ/PMQ -Discuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence -Able to identify elements for cost recovery from others -Proficient on O365 -Experience in managing risks and change processes through solutions-based approach to problem solving -Holds or working towards a formal qualification in construction/engineering or equivalent industry experience -Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence -Have an awareness of the Digital Briefcase -Demonstration of resilience and determination to succeed -Holds CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent -Understanding and specify plant and equipment requirements -Understanding of the contract and knowledge of commercial impact
