Tasks

-Develop and manage complex grid and generator performance models to meet Generator Performance Standards for new energy projects. -Model the future - Use PSCAD, PSS(R)E, and PowerFactory to solve grid challenges. -Power the grid - Connect renewables with smart, scalable solutions. -Conduct detailed analysis of current and future grid configurations to identify optimal connection points. -Select and oversee specialist consultants for grid modelling, including GPS packages, MLF assessments, and constraints analysis. -Support project development and acquisition due diligence by assessing connection risks and opportunities -Provide expert advice and approvals on grid connection strategies and future grid options. -Lead technical negotiations and maintain strong relationships with AEMO, TNSPs, DNSPs, and state-based authorities.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of AEMO’s Integrated System Plan and future grid technologies. -Proven expertise in grid connection processes and regulatory frameworks within the National Electricity Market. -Demonstrated ability to manage technical consultants and deliver high-impact modelling outcomes. -Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as PSCAD, PSS®E, DigSILENT PowerFactory, and other grid simulation and modelling platforms. -Engineering degree with extensive relevant experience in the Australian energy market. -Brisbane based (open to Sydney or Melbourne locations)
