The Role

Overview

Supervises commercial plumbing work, manages crews, schedules, safety, and project execution.

Tasks

-Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for the project. -When necessary, make cost estimates for contracts. -Maintain time records and ensure timely procedures are adopted as appropriate. -Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment, and tools required at each project commencement. -Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations across work areas. -Train helpers as needed and provide instruction on proper tool handling and work product specifications. -Conduct performance appraisals for foremen and workers to ensure the most productive job placement at the job site according to blueprint specifications. -Study schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for job completion. -Rate information using measurable standards. -Analyze and resolve work problems to bring about win/win solutions. -Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel; use hand tools and portable power tools per job specifications. -Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints.

What You Bring

-Minimum of ten (10) years in trade leadership roles in commercial construction. -Work skillfully with tools, metals, and machines. -Clean driving record, drug test, and background check are required. -Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction); use hands, fingers, arms, and legs fully. -Med Gas Certification is a plus. -GED or high school diploma preferred. -Understand shop math. -Understand English and provide/follow directives to/from assigned helpers. -Minimum of four (4) years of field experience as a plumber in a mechanical construction company.
