Tasks
-Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools -Assist in the setup of events and install/take-down mall decor -Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property -The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. -Assist with emergency planning and response in coordination with management team -Embody and support Brookfield Properties’ Safety, Health, and Environment Policy. Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines (including OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment. -Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the interior/exterior areas of the property including, but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof -The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. -Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely -Assist with snow removal by vehicle and/or by hand (if applicable) -Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems -Perform interior/exterior custodial duties as needed which may include sweeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, gathering trash, empty trash receptacles; operate compactor; and landscaping -Repair, modify, move retail merchandising units as needed -Provide assistance and interact with the public and tenants as needed -The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.

What You Bring
-Self-starter with ability to work independently -Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings and comprehend instructions -Valid Driver's License required -Familiar with, or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook (email) -Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field -OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus -2-year Tech School Graduate or trade certificate is a plus -The employee is frequently required to climb, smell, stoop, kneel, bend, balance, crouch, or crawl. -Bilingual welcomed -Ability to communicate information clearly with management, employees, tenants, and external contacts -Some shift work, evenings, weekends, and emergency response is required -High School Diploma or GED required -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
