Description

• Coach Project Managers, Engineers, supervisors and field crews to successfully promote and foster a proactive culture of Zero Harm and environmental safety.
• Investigate incidents, injuries or breaches of safety and environment procedures.
• Manage incident reporting within Downer and Client systems.
• Support a collaborative contract with a focus on relationships.
• Ensure application of Downer Zero Harm standards and legislative requirements to all work activities.
• Conduct observations, site inspections and audits.

The opportunity Our Energy and Utilities business is seeking an eager safety professional to join our ever-growing team in a full-time capacity. You will be working within the Power Projects space predominately focused on Melbourne Metro projects however will have the opportunity to be exposed to other areas of our business and support alternate projects as required. Please note this is a full-time permanent, Monday to Friday opportunity that will be based in our Melbourne office/site locations. What you'll do

• Prior utilisation of Health Safety & Environment Management systems is advantageous.
• Certificate IV in OHS/WHS.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and evolve to various business requirements.
• Basic knowledge of operational safety within a project-based environment or equivalent trade-based experience (Energy, Utilities or Civil industry experience preferred).
• Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• ICAM lead investigator Auditing (advantageous but not essential).
