Tasks

The Facility Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and improvement of building infrastructure, including HVAC systems, control systems, and facility operations. This role involves providing technical assistance in planning and managing building projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing facility operations. The Facility Engineer will report to the Assistant Facilities Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance facility performance. -Prepare facility project plans, preliminary designs, and cost estimates under guidance. -Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and workplace best practices. -Works closely with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams. -Offer technical assistance in developing, planning, and managing building design and construction projects. -Support project documentation, including scope-of-work, purchase requisitions, and cost tracking. -Manage smaller-scale construction projects, office layouts, and furniture/equipment relocations. -Report to the Assistant Facilities Manager and assist in duties of senior engineers and project managers as required. -Provide expertise on building HVAC system design, control systems, operations, and maintenance. -Operation of material handling equipment (forklift, hoist, cranes, etc.) may be required. -Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and procedures for accuracy and compliance. -Travel between company locations may be required. -Oversee and supervise junior team members as needed. -May oversee or guide junior employees within the Facilities Management department. -Assist in project scheduling, budget tracking, and process improvements. -Conduct construction inspections to ensure conformance to requirements.

What You Bring

-Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus. -Strong knowledge of project planning, cost estimation, and construction processes. -Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. -Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively. -Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project. -Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hard hats, is necessary. -Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments. -Tasks may require standing, walking, climbing ladders/stairs, balancing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. -Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Excellent organizational and time management skills. -Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
