Tasks

-Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations. -Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies. -Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes for real estate development projects, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and producing financial reports. -Consolidate internal and external financial ledgers, reconciling intercompany accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the entire organization. -Conduct in-depth financial analysis of real estate development projects, assessing investment returns, profitability, and risk factors. Provide insights to support decision-making. -Handle various administrative tasks related to financial recordkeeping, document management, and other duties as assigned. -Monitor and manage project costs, including construction expenses, land acquisition costs, and development-related expenditures. -Work closely with vendors, reviewing and coding invoices to ensure accuracy, and process payments in a timely manner. -Maintain and monitor project cash flows to ensure adequate funding for development activities and identify potential cash flow challenges. -Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial data and documentation.

As the Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in financial operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of economic data related to real estate development projects. The ideal Project Accountant has experience in public accounting and real estate development. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -Bachelor's degree in Accounting -CPA or MBA Preferred -Strong knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific accounting principles. -Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. -Previous experience in public accounting is ideal. -Previous experience in public accounting -Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. -Proficiency in MS Excel -Proficiency in Yardi -Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on real estate development.
