Material Controller

Overview

Manage material ordering, delivery, and stock control to support site build programme.

Key Responsibilities

• materials call‑off

• waste segregation
• supplier liaison
• order follow‑up
• stock monitoring

Tasks

-Ensure materials are called off in time to meet the build programme -Lead and maintain a safe working environment -Responsible for keeping a well organised, clean and safe compound -Lead in the segregation of waste on site -Ensure protection to work in progress is supplied to trades for installation -Liaise with Suppliers to confirm delivery arrangements -Follow up any outstanding orders -Report any schedule issues to commercial -Liaise with site teams re deliveries discrepancies / damages -Monitor production programmes in relation to stock and advise the Site Manager of potential shortages -Monitors build progress with site teams to ensure materials due in are still required to dates requested. -Work closely with FLT and site operative to ensure all site activities are covered -Regular checks with site teams for excess stock.
