The Role

Overview

Design and oversee electrical systems for building projects, including assessments and commissioning.

Tasks

-Be responsible for time management and product quality -Worked as an engineer sub-consultant to architectural building design firms -Utilizing CAD and BIM design software to produce construction drawings -Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans -Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as the overall needs of the team -Participate in client relations and project pursuits -Manage multiple assignments concurrently -Utilize Microsoft Excel-based calculation tools for design calculations -Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects

What You Bring

-Ability to communicate with and interact with building owner representatives and architectural clients -Experience with Autodesk Revit -Technically competent in building electrical systems including power distribution systems, lighting systems, and telecommunications systems. -5 to 15 years of building design and construction industry experience -Knowledge of electrical engineering and sustainability principles -Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university of college. -Proven experience overseeing electrical designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects -Must have strong communication skills -Knowledge of building components and systems -Must be proficient with MS Office Suite -Ability to perform electrical related calculations -Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
