Assist customers with parts identification, ordering, inventory control, and billing.

Tasks

-Returns all unsold merchandise immediately to the correct stock location. -Examines returned parts to determine if defective and exchange part or refund money. -All employees are expected to adhere to the safety policies of Dobbs Equipment and the clients for whom we work. -Picks up and delivers parts for customers and venders as needed. -Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. -Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs. -Works with parts team to make the department more profitable. -Always see that defective merchandise is tagged properly with date, hours used, serial number, model number, correct part number, and placed in warranty bins. -Ensures technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner. -Reads catalogs, John Deere Vision or computer for replacement part stock number and price. -Prepares computerized invoices. -Maintains a clean and safe operating department. -Assists with annual physical inventory. -Fills customer orders from stock. -Receives and ships parts as needed in accordance with DOT guidelines. -Attends training classes and store meetings. -Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available. -Maintains periodical parts returns as needed. -Marks and stores parts in stockroom according to prearranged system. -Finds out the model, serial number, and type of part needed. -Controls expenses to increase profitability. -Notifies Parts Manager of discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities.

What You Bring

-Valid Drivers License -Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. -Organization and communication skills must be highly developed. -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. -Forklift Certification -Parts counter experience -Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry. -One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training -Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. -Computer skills need to be broad based. -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
