Tasks
-Maintains open communication with client and provides guidance through projects -Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings -Manages the technical resolution and coordination for the project -Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and documents as needed -Leads development of code analysis and confirms code and zoning requirements for assigned segment of project are met -Collaborates with PIC/PM in defining project work plans and developing and managing the production schedule, including effectively defining and meeting deadlines -Participates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines -Leads team and other Project Architects in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems -Oversees product research; assists project designers with material and system evaluation to make proper selections -Coordinates with PM, clients, public agencies, consultants and contractors to incorporate engineering systems, respond to requests for information, clarifications and modifications, and obtain approvals, negotiations and adjusting scope of services -Communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation -Writes reports or specifications for assigned project -Leads the creation and modification of complex detailed implementation documents to incorporate the design intent, using diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices and advanced techniques -Oversees consultant team work sessions -Maintains awareness of risk management for potential project issues and involves PIC/PM if needed -Supervises the preparation of documents by architectural team, including verifying implementation documents conform to QA/QC and HKS standards, best practice and quality expectations -Responsible for preparing and/or reviewing meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings

What You Bring
-Accredited professional degree in Architecture -Advanced ability to research and apply/incorporate into implementation documents required -Intermediate skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Twinmotion, Enscape or other visualization tools required -Advanced knowledge of materials, construction techniques, architectural building systems, building codes, accessibility guidelines and QA/QC process required -Advanced ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships required -Advanced skills in MS Office Suite required -Architectural Registration required -Advanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines required -Advanced organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time required -Advanced ability to collaborate and encourage collaboration in a team environment required -Advanced ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions required -Travel will be required -Advanced presentation, graphic and visualization skills to communicate ideas required -Advanced experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy required -Advanced ability to manage team with diplomatic leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and external required -Advanced ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality required -Typically 15+ years of experience -Intermediate skills in Illustrator and InDesign required; basic skills in Photoshop required -Sustainable design accreditation preferred -Advanced ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing required -Advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks and Bluebeam required -Exercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues
