Tasks
-Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussions -Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures -Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance -Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members -Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Conduct on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetings -Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies -Develop a site logistics plan and manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment -Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules -Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivity -Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability -Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members -Collaborate with project partner superintendents -Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and terminate craft team members as needed -Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule

We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback -Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Current driver’s license -Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects -Minimum 8 years construction management or related experience -Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills -Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
