Tasks

-Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and innovations to deliver cutting-edge solutions -Log defects/issues in Azure DevOps and follow up with the development team -Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for key business areas using Power BI -Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and transform data into engaging, user-friendly reports -Collaborate with various teams to ensure data is integrated seamlessly from multiple sources -Conduct user training to maximize adoption and empower teams to use self-serve analytics -Participate in System Integration Testing with architects and developers, while also supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by resolving defects promptly during the process -Perform detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI report and scripts and utilize them -Create technical documentation, design wireframes for dashboards, and develop semantic models -As a BI Developer Co-Op, you’ll design and develop interactive dashboards that provide actionable business insights. You will work closely with the data team and stakeholders to understand business requirements, transforming complex data into easy-to-understand visuals that empower decision-makers across the company. -You will also be the lead BI developer helping to drive consistency in utilizing industry best practices and acting as a mentor for the data team and stakeholders. -Continuously optimize Power BI solutions to enhance performance and usability

What You Bring

-Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment -Experience in data transformation, integration (cloud-based solutions), and the Microsoft Fabric stack (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Data Factory Azure Synapse, Synapse Data Warehouse) a plus -Experience in communicating with both business and technical teams -Hands-on experience with an industry leader supporting our manufacturing facilities. -Project or Coop experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports -Enrolled in a university-level program with a focus in Computer and Information Science, Data Science/Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent program. -Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and applied experience with data-related projects -A team player, and initiator, with the ability to manage complex tasks and priorities -Experience in developing and maintaining Row-level security (RLS), and object-level security (OLS) a plus -Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions -Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modeling in Power BI -An understanding of data visualization best practices to create clear and actionable insights -Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written French is an asset
