Manage bridge engineering projects, overseeing scope, fees, client relations, and team.

Tasks

-Assist in informal development of other employees. -Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects. -On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design. -Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing. -Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio. -Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices. -Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients. -Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.

What You Bring

-Experience working with DOTs required. -Experience managing multidisciplinary teams. -Point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager. -Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects. -P.E. license required. -Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required. -Project and client management experience. -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. -MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is preferred. -Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus. -At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering. -Project team leadership experience. -Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
