Tasks

-Interpret and adhere to design standards (federal, state and owner driven). -Take ownership of design drawings and reports. -Lead and oversee the development of PV and BESS projects. -Thoroughly reviews cross-discipline drawing interfaces. -Lead evaluation and assessment of project locations and design requirements. -Reviewing Capability -Complete utility-scale solar and BESS permitting, site optimization techniques and modeling. -Contribute to best practices and implement regulatory changes. -Complete design tasks related to utility scale solar and BESS projects independently. -Support QA/QC reviews of design drawings, plans, construction documentation to ensure alignment with EPC execution requirements. -Conduct site visits to validate project designs. -Coordinate with Engineering teams, construction managers and permitting agencies. -Lead QA/QC reviews of design drawings, plans, and construction documentation to ensure alignment with EPC execution requirements -Suggest improvements to drawing templates, CAD standards or processes. -Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds -Summarizes and champions the final path forward. -Guides and helps multidisciplinary design teams reach consensus. -Anticipates design issues and avoids recurring mistakes. -Accurately estimates time to complete full drawing packages. -Fosters collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. -Plans work to meet deadlines for design deliverables and stay on track.

-AutoCAD (Expert proficiency) -Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting) -Software Skills: -Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day -Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far -Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position -Proficiency with PV and BESS site design. -Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite) -Competency in leading teams to complete PV and BESS designs. -PVCase or similar -Travel: up to 30% as needed -Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations -Time Management -Certifications: AutoCAD certification (Optional). -7 years of experience in solar electrical design. -Understands and communicates both detailed and big-picture design impacts.
