Overview

Manage surveying projects, staff, clients and deliver CAD deliverables within CA standards.

Tasks

-Schedule field crews, evaluate staff performance, and prepare survey cost estimates while managing contract hours and scope of work. -Provide direction, support, and mentorship to lower-level staff members. -Coordinate with project engineers, survey analysts, clients, and contractors. -Prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS surveys, land title surveys, as-built surveys, subdivision maps, and other survey-related documents. -Oversee time management and scheduling for projects. -Write proposals and perform cost estimating. -Engage with clients and public agency personnel for successful project execution. -Supervise and provide direction for daily tasks for field crews. -Coordinate construction bid document preparation and contract management. -Ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. -Process submittals with various city and county agencies.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with construction phase sequencing, identifying critical site constraints, and understanding regulatory issues. -Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Trimble Business Center; familiarity with Carlson software is a plus. -Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in a management role supervising subordinate staff. -Experience preparing construction staking calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and performing detailed take-offs and construction cost estimates. -Proficient in preparing legal descriptions, boundary analysis, closure calculations, and exhibits. -Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with clients and public agencies.
