Tasks
-Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and to enhance customer satisfaction. -Provides recommendations and implements action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness. (5%) -May serve as an expert for organization in a specific area or responsibility that may include the delivery of classroom instruction/training and/or OJT/OJE. (5%) -Evaluates, develops and implements projects that have significant financial and operational impact. (10%) -Participates in technical and industry societies and committees to enhance knowledge of new technologies or issues in areas of company interest. (5%) -Performs assignments while acting independently, and may lead multi-discipline teams. (5%) -Influence decisions that have a significant impact on the company. -Performs assignments in areas where engineering precedents are incomplete, lacking or require broad experience. (25%) -Leads and performs engineering assignments associated with critical engineering projects or a number of small projects with many complex features require extensive company experience that may include leading employees or contractors in the commissioning of electrical systems and equipment to be placed On System. (45%) -Provides technical assistance in support of others.

What You Bring
-Relevant education/experience is knowledge and/or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program. Relevant experience includes experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience, as deemed relevant to the role. Relevant educational experience includes company sponsored training programs (ex. PowerUp Academy) or other educational programs, as deemed relevant to the role. The equivalent relevant education / experience requirement is in addition to the position's minimum experience requirements. -Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service. -Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or 6 or more years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. -Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems. -Knowledge of complex field test equipment. -Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches. -Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
