Tasks

-Analyze competitor activity and client engagement to inform strategic bidding decisions. -Support Project Managers with field execution logistics and coordination. -Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals for pricing and compliance. -Build and maintain project setups in HCSS for awarded contracts including VIP programs and service contracts. -Manage bid notifications and advertising schedules across platforms (Salesforce, Bid Express, CT Source, Insight). -Collaborate with Operations and Project Managers to analyze bid-versus-build performance. -Monitor and report on Margin Loss Tracking (MLT), targeting 5% or less. -Review bid opportunities with senior management to determine pursuit strategy.

What You Bring

-Experience in DOT, Heavy & Highway, FAA, Paving or Milling is a plus—but not required. We provide training for highway and paving bid processes. -Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. -Minimum: Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred or relevant experience. -Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating or project management for civil, infrastructure, or related construction projects. -Ability to learn and adapt to new estimating systems and project types. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, Paydirt, Primavera) is preferred. -Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. -Familiarity with construction specifications and estimating tools is required.
