Tasks

-Shadowing chartered surveyors. -Liaising (where appropriate) with other LSH departments and divisions. -Assisting with the drafting of minutes, schedules and reports. -Attending industry CPD events. -Providing support on instructions to surveyors in the business on Valuation related matters -Attending site and taking notes and photographs and generally assisting on instructions. -Attending training and continuous professional development (CPD) events where required to support your learning. -Representing LSH and the full range of property related services available to our clients. -Attending relevant training courses (internal and external) both online and in-person. -Shadowing qualified colleagues.

What You Bring

As an Apprentice Surveyor you will provide essential administrative and technical support to the Valuation team whilst gaining valuable experience of the role of a commercial surveyor. The work will be varied and will be completed both in the office and on site – requiring visits to client offices and to properties of all commercial asset classes *Recognised qualifications having an equivalent level of attainment as those recognised by UCAS include: Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), professional qualifications from recognised institutions, certain armed forces qualifications and partially completed degrees. It is anticipated that on successful completion of the apprenticeship and your APC you will be promoted to the position of Surveyor within Lambert Smith Hampton. Have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (Grade 4 for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England) or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics as defined by the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England. Have completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical through which a Construction and Built Environment Diploma with a minimum DD profile was obtained or through which a Construction and Built Environment Extended Diploma with a minimum MMM profile was obtained, or an equivalent qualification. Have a current RICS Associate qualification (AssocRICS) For standard entry, applicants must have obtained 120 UCAS tariff points or have an equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications not included in the UCAS Tariff. Upon completion of the BSc (Hons) Real Estate and the structured workplace learning you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor. We are looking for a bright, friendly and enthusiastic Apprentice Surveyor to work in our Nottingham valuation team, working in the city and across the East Midlands. -Good communication skills, both written and verbal. -Competent user of MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint programmes. -Demonstrates confidence and understands own strengths and weaknesses. -e-learning for H&S and compliance requirements. -Keen and enthusiastic learner. -Possess a valid UK driving license and a car will be essential. -Must be able to manage time and prioritise work/instructions effectively. -Good communicator and able to deal with people on all levels. -1-1 coaching. -Analytical skills: Good attention to detail, problem solving, logical reasoning and data analysis. -Ability to work under pressure. -Well organised and thorough. -Able to work to deadlines, under pressure.

Off-the-job training will be provided by Nottingham Trent University (NTU) You will achieve a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc (Hons) Real Estate degree. You will be allocated one study day per week to attend lectures and seminars on campus.
