Tasks
-Review own and team’s materials to ensure they are clear, professional, and aligned with client and organizational goals. -Research aerospace topics, technologies, companies, and market trends to inform accurate and relevant writing. -Track writing deliverables and deadlines, coordinating with project teams to meet schedules. -Collaborate with colleagues to ensure content alignment for technical accuracy and BD compliance. -Lead and support preparation of presentations, reports, and other communications within established milestones. -Write and edit high-quality technical and client deliverables across aerospace projects and pursuits. -Translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for varied audiences (e.g., executives, engineers, policymakers, decision-makers, clients). -Participates in problem-solving meetings to develop market pursuits and resolve client delivery issues. -Develop persuasive business growth content (e.g., white papers, presentations, proposal content) that communicates value clearly.

What You Bring
-Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, supported by in-depth research and domain expertise in the aerospace industry, with a strong focus on the emerging commercial space (“NewSpace”) sector. -Bachelor’s degree in communications, technical writing, journalism, aerospace studies or related field (graduate degree a plus). -Employment with Merrick is contingent upon completion of a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug screen. -Demonstrated ability to craft persuasive arguments in white papers, proposals, reports, or publications. -Familiarity with aerospace industry, especially commercial space and emerging aviation companies, technologies, and programs (breadth of experience, including defense aerospace, a plus). -7 years of relevant experience in technical or proposal writing. -Self-starter with sense of urgency aligned to time-sensitive objectives and commercial space sector. -Research skills to support development of content informed by technical and market insights. -Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deliverables and time-sensitive deadlines. -Demonstrated commitment to the firm’s values of respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
