Overview

Detects, classifies, and documents natural gas leaks in residential/commercial systems.

Tasks

-Communicating and interacting with homeowners and utility representatives. -Assist other technicians with leaks when necessary. -Leak Survey Scheduling/Compliance date management -Follow all company safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures. -Follow all company, client, state, and federal code of regulation requirements. -Assist the Field Supervisor with training Field Technicians. -Complete the Heath Consultants training and operator qualification program requirements. -Develop a knowledge and understanding of the utilities infrastructure. -Accurately detect, classify, and document natural gas leakage on client infrastructure. -Represents the company in a professional manner. -Safely operating the company vehicle per the vehicle policy. -Complete daily leak reports, address lists, and any other documentation required by Heath and our client.

What You Bring

-Some overtime and travel required. -Able to travel for two weeks or more at a time -Advance knowledge of Leak Survey equipment -High school diploma or equivalent preferred. -Reading utility prints and maps. -Proficient in Microsoft Office. Word, excel and power point. -2 to 4 years of gas leak surveying experience required. -Advanced Pinpointing Technique -Must be able to travel 25-35% of the time, Some positions up to 75% of the time -Walking between 3 to 7 miles per day on varying types of terrain in all types of weather. -Must have no quality issues in the last 6 months. -Communicate openly and honestly -Complete the Field Technician Level II qualifications. -Once an indication of a leak is found, a 10-15 lb. plunger bar is used to punch holes in the ground so that an instrument probe can be inserted into the ground to measure the concentration of natural gas as part of the investigation procedure. The plunger bar is similar to a fence post driver.
