Tasks

-Produce Mechanical design layouts which are cost effective and meet the requirements of the specification. -Monitor design costs and provide design services appropriate to the allowance available -Production of clear and well-presented reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation -Prepare design risk assessments -Supporting the delivery of design and assessment in a multi-discipline environment -Working within the Design team you will be an integral part of the delivery of many projects by providing assistance in the following -Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.

What You Bring

-IT proficient -Have the ability to travel to the office and sites (some of our sites are difficult to access through public transport) so a Full UK Driving License is required. -Have passion for Costain's Carbon Net Zero targets -You will have achieved or are on track to achieve a Bachelor's degree at grade 2:2 or above in a Mechanical degree or relevant discipline. -As some of our project sites are based in remote locations, it is worth noting that you will be required to have the ability to travel to site -Please note that if you are invited to interview, we will require you to produce your passport and/or right to work documentation. -The ability to empathise and communicate with all people, regardless of their background or circumstances -Able to work accurately and appreciate its importance to the team -Work experience relevant to the engineering sector -The ability to thrive in pressured situations -Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills -Eligible to work in the UK -Excel at building and maintaining positive relationships
