Tasks

-Mentors and provides advice and guidance to other analysts within the organization -Maintain tariff, compile revenues, sales, and general business statistics for compliance reporting, and support the general rate case management process. -Monitor up-to-date information regarding federal, state/provincial and applicable laws and regulations as they relate to filing requirements for regulated utilities -Maintains good relationship with regulatory authorities and participates in industry forums to influence regulatory policies -Play a key role in developing strategies and recommendations on cost recovery, rate making, customer programs, and gas/electric/water rate issues -Compile company operating statistics for internal and external distribution -Prepare expert witness testimony, exhibits, work papers and discovery responses -Support requests for rate and policy changes including written and oral testimony and discovery responses -Contribute to cadence and framework that ensures the utility is meeting its compliance requirements in an accurate and timely manner -May act as an expert witness as needed before the regulatory authority -Prepare and support all regulatory filings which includes developing and maintaining complex excel models -Updates key management on regulatory changes, developments and implications of new requirements or emerging regulations and industry developments on functional areas
