Asphalt Field Technician

Overview

Inspect and test hot‑mix asphalt placement to ensure compliance with DTI specifications.

Tasks

-Maintain proper record of field test results for review and subsequent submissions; -Reviewing roadway for damage prior to, and following paving operations; -Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules. -Receiving and properly recording all field samples for testing and/or holding;

Requirements

• 5+ years
• driver's license
• civil engineering
• asphalt inspection

What You Bring

-Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar engineering field; -Valid driver's license; -Willingness and ability to travel on a required basis. -Technical degree or diploma in civil engineering (or equivalent); -Communicate results effectively with client and Englobe supervisor; -Team-oriented and an excellent communicator; -Field inspection and testing during placement of hot-mix asphalt to match current DTI requirements - including overseeing sampling, coring, temperature and compaction verification, etc; Familiar with current DTI End-Result-Specification Asphalt specifications including sampling intervals, and placement requirements;
